HELLO SPRING/SUMMER 2014!

 

Today, Nicholas K Collection had its Spring/Summer 2014 debut. First off, let me say I am a  HUGE fan of all of his work! I just love the effortless pieces. The freedom that the fit of the clothing gives is PRICELES!

 

One thing that I wasn't too found of was his shoes; women or menswear....HOWEVER...

He recovered with this look! I ADORE these boots! They are over the knee, still effortless like the clothing, wedged, and open toe...I mean, What more could I ask for?!

 

I CANT WAIT until these are released on his site next season because I will DEFINITELY be purchasing these beauties!

H&M Paris Show Collection

 

Today, H&M released their Paris Show Collection available for purchase online! I have to say, this is a pretty amazing collection! The leather pieces, the classic cuts and styles....It's all just giving me L I F E!

 

This collection is so versatile! Its a perfect mix of 1920's meets 2013! The embroidered silver tone/glitter details on the Velvet Jacket allow it to be dressed up or down. The Wool Biker Jacket is a classic mix between Rocker and Chic all the while being a fully functional jacket for the colder months.

 

One thing that the Paris Show Collection didn't skimp on was their leather options! With more than a few different options for Leather Lovers like me, my Wish List grew lengthy quite rapidly! The Leather Pants featured aren't your average Plain Jane leathers! Nope! They offer various smaller details like zip detailing at the ankle and quilted sections on the thighs. The Leather Vest is another must have for me! The faux sheepskin around the collar mixed with the "worn in" look leather used to create this goes perfect with a classic Fall/Winter trend; Layering!

I'm Just a Hopeless Romantic, Flowers are All I Need.....

Whether its Peonies or Tulips,  Roses or Violets; floral prints are back for this upcoming season! I am talking in overload mode! Perfect for print blocking, layering, or just adding a POP of color to a seemingly dull outfit.

 

Labels all across the industry have taking a liking to this once again trend. Creating different variations of patterns, color palettes, and materials. From High-End designers to Street Fashion, flowers are making their presence known.

 

My current obsession stems from the Roberto Cavalli Hand Printed Pumps featured above! These shoes are amazing! Capitalizing on the classic stiletto pump with a touch of trend; flowers. Adding just as much spunk is the Dolce &Gabbana Quilted Floral Bag. Both of these pieces can be worn in multiple seasons serving as a staple statement piece in any wardrobe.

My Style, Their Fashion

 

 

Style. It defines me and you. Style is personal, special....individual. Style is walking into a room and saying "Hello" without saying a word. Style is personality. Style is first impression. The dictionary defines style as a particular kind, sort, or type, as with reference to form, appearance, or character. Style can determine ones character. Style can not be purchased, traded, or borrowed, its in your DNA.

 

Fashion. Fashion is trendy. Fashion fades. Fashion evolves. Fashion inspires style. Without Fashion, one would have no style. Fashion is theirs. Fashion doesn't belong to anyone. Fashion is FASHION! The dictionary says that fashion is a prevailing custom or style of dress, etiquette, socializing, etc. So basically what we decide to wear; in fashion world!

 

Style and Fashion work together. Think of it as your hand and fingers, feet and toes. You need one for the other. Style is what you do with Fashion. Fashion helps create your style. Sometimes we get so lost in trends and what's new, that we loose sense of our style. Sometimes, we haven't quite figured out what our style exactly is. Style isn't fitting into a certain category. Fashion isn't what's hot in headlines....its a balance of both.

 

With creating this blog, I hope to bring inspiration to fellow fashion lovers, inquires, and enthusiast. This blog is for those who understand that Style is personal, Fashion isn't!
